The e-CODEX system is a tool specifically designed to facilitate the cross-border electronic exchange of data in the area of judicial cooperation in civil and criminal matters. Regulation (EU) 2022/850 provides it with a legal framework and ensures its long-term sustainability and governance within the eu-LISA agency. By means of these Implementing Regulations the Commission exercises the implementing powers conferred on it to ensure the establishment of technical and administrative aspects.
