Amendments to certain official controls in live bivalve molluscs, poultry and fishery products.
Food safety
The draft extends the possibility to not classify production and relaying areas for the harvest of all echinoderms that are not filter feeders. It adds analytical methods to detect the prior freezing of fishery products. It allows post-mortem inspection of carcasses from poultry reared for the production of foie gras and of delayed eviscerated poultry both in cutting plants and slaughterhouses, in line with Regulation (EC) No 853/2004.
