In 2020 the Commission adopted a new EU Roma strategic framework for the period up to 2030, which was complemented by a Council Recommendation adopted in 2021. This initiative aims at reporting on the implementation of national Roma strategic frameworks assessing Member States’ measures to promote Roma people’s equality, inclusion and participation, with a focus on the areas for improvement identified in the Commission’s 2023 assessment.
