Commission Regulation 2017/2400 on the determination of CO2 emissions and fuel consumption of heavy-duty vehicles introduces a common method and a simulation tool to objectively compare the performance of heavy-duty vehicles. The common method must be amended to take into account more than 130 technical comments by stakeholders. Furthermore, a test to verify CO2 emissions and fuel consumption of new vehicles must be introduced, as required by Article 12 of Directive 2007/46.
