This regulation, which is implementing Regulation (EC) No 595/2009, lays down technical requirements for on-board devices to monitor and determine fuel and/or energy consumption, mileage and payloads during the lifetime of heavy-duty vehicles. These values can then be compared to the values of new vehicles determined according to the regulatory procedures before these vehicles are put into use.
