EU Action Plan against migrant smuggling (2021-2025)

Home affairs

Smuggling of migrants is a global crime exposing migrants to life-threatening risks. The New Pact on Migration and Asylum identifies preventing and combating migrant smuggling as one of the central elements of a comprehensive approach to migration management. Building on the current EU Action Plan against migrant smuggling (2015-20), the Pact will announce a new EU Action Plan for the period 2021-2025.
