This initiative adjusts the rules on the EU school fruit, vegetables and milk scheme. It specifies that Member States shall ensure that educational measures are provided for in all participating schools and children, without prejudice to the autonomy granted to the schools. It also recalls that public procurement rules may apply to the selection of aid applicants, and adjusts the conditions for approving aid applicants with regard to the written commitments they have to make.
