EU countries are working together under the EU Youth Strategy. They aim to increase young people's opportunities in education, employment, society, and to promote their role as active citizens. The countries exchange information on the situation of youth, share practices and devise common priorities that they implement in their national policies. Commission is preparing future proposals in order to provide better opportunities for youth to participate in democratic life and express solidarity.
