Evaluation of the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement

The purpose of the evaluation is to provide an evidence-based report assessing the impact of the implementation of the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) with Japan after five years of application. The findings will be relevant in drawing lessons for its ongoing implementation and increasing its effectiveness. In its “Trade for All” strategy, the Commission committed itself to analysing the impact of trade policy in ex-post evaluations. The EPA also contains a built-in review clause.
