This implementing act defines reference formats of advanced electronic signatures and of advanced electronic seals, and reference methods where alternative formats are used. These formats and methods are to be recognised by Member States to process electronically signed or sealed documents or data in the context of online services offered by, or on behalf of, a public sector body.
