The French President, Emmanuel Macron, presented to the UN a Global Pact for the environment. In the foreseen upcoming negotiations of the Pact, the EU has to ensure that its environmental acquis, including multilateral environmental agreements to which it is a Party, and guiding principles and concepts of EU environmental policy are respected.
