This initiative will support the implementation of the EU’s new customs pre-arrival security and safety system, the Import Control System 2 (ICS2) aimed to better protect the single market and EU citizens through effective risk-based controls. Also following Ukraine’s accession to the Common Transit Convention, Ukraine should be added to the list of countries mentioned in the guarantee undertakings for transit.
