The Commission is proposing to include new yards in the EU list of authorised ship recycling facilities. The Commission has assessed that the proposed facilitates operate in accordance with social and environmental standards set out under EU law and should be included as well in the EU list. These inclusions will contribute to sustainable ship recycling practices in the EU and at the international level.
