The European Defence Fund supports collaborative, cross-border defence research and development. Complementing national efforts, the Fund promotes cooperation among companies and research actors of all sizes and geographic origin in the EU. It aims to integrate further our defence technological and industrial base, develop skills as well as the innovation potential of Europe’s industry. An interim evaluation of the EDF must be carried no later than four years after the start of its implementation.
