Pentachlorophenol and its salts and esters are listed in Annex I to Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 with the effect that they are banned in the Union. That entry in Annex I does not specify a limit value for the presence of those chemicals as unintentional trace contaminant in substances, mixtures and articles. Since such limit value is important for enforcement of the prohibition, it should be added to the existing entry through this act.
