Regulation (EU) 2024/903 (Interoperable Europe Act) introduced a new mechanism to develop, train, test and validate innovative interoperability solutions supporting cross-border data flows between public services in controlled environments (i.e. “interoperability regulatory sandboxes”). This implementing regulation will lay down the rules and conditions for the establishment and the operation of those interoperability regulatory sandboxes, as envisioned in Art. 12(10) of the Interoperable Europe Act.
