The INSPIRE Directive set up an EU wide digital space for sharing spatial data for the purpose of protecting the environment. This evaluation will assess whether it has contributed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of measures to protect the environment. It will also assess whether the directive is still relevant for its stakeholders and coherent with other legislation, notably in the context of the new Green Deal data space initiative.
