The initiative aims at updating the format of the certificate on the hazardous materials delivered to ships in application of the EU Ship Recycling Regulation, to align it with the format provided by the Hong Kong convention. With the convention entering into force on the 26th of June 2025, this initiative will limit administrative burden allowing ship owners to fulfil their obligations under both the Regulation and the Convention with a unique certificate.
