The initiative aims at updating the format of the ready for recycling certificate delivered to ships destined to be recycled in application of the EU Ship recycling Regulation, in view of the entry into force of the Hong Kong Convention. This initiative will limit administrative burden allowing ship owners to fulfil their obligations under both the regulation and the convention with a unique certificate.
