Microsoft urges EU to harmonize cybersecurity certification schemes

Microsoft requests that cybersecurity certification be non-political, technologically neutral, and include strategic partners. They advocate for harmonization with international standards and cross-border recognition within the Digital Single Market to avoid fragmentation.
This would reduce certification costs and enable consistent market access across Europe.
Member States lose ability to set unique national security requirements and certification schemes.
