This initiative aims at amending the transitional provisions of Directive (EU) 2017/2397 on the recognition of professional qualifications in inland navigation to cover the documents issued by third countries. The objective of the amendment is to prolong for a limited period the status quo. This means to keep recognising third countries valid documents in the Member States that currently recognise them.
