Wildlife trafficking - EU action plan (evaluation)
Environment
Wildlife trafficking – the illegal trade in wild animals and plants – is one of the largest transnational criminal activities in the world. It has a devastating impact on biodiversity due to the demand for products derived from endangered species. In 2016, the EU adopted an action plan to step up the fight against this threat. This evaluation will assess what impact the plan has had on curbing wildlife trafficking and whether it has helped supplement national efforts.
