Response to Thermal oxidation materials and derivates in EU fertilising products

The Agra-Ost research center would like to take the opportunity of this public consultation to proposes fly ash from lignite (brown coal) combustion and organic farmyard manure as CMC for the production of CE fertilizers. The detailed explanation of this proposal cannot be written in 4000 characters and is attached as a document. Roughly summarized, lignite fly ash would be a product that could improve the quality of soils in forestry and agriculture and could increase the efficiency of fertilization. At the same time, the ash is the ideal carrier material to bind organic residues, to sanitize them and to convert them into a high-quality, solid product, which can be transported, stored and spread without any problems using classic techniques. The obstacle is currently the waste classification of fly ash, not the quality or the ingredients. This obstacle can be removed with this European legislative text.
