Response to Commission Recommendation and guidance on design elements of renewable energy auctions

The ARGE Netz Group strongly advocates for the political goal of bolstering resilience through the establishment and fortification of a European renewable industry and the diversification of our imports. We are firmly committed to learning from the errors of the fossil fuel era and avoiding a return to dependence on individual states. For the essential ramp-up of renewables in Germany and Europe, tenders need to create an attractive framework and to ensure long-term planning security. In implementing qualitative criteria within this framework, several key considerations need to be addressed, see attachment.

Response to Revision of the Renewable Energy Directive (EU) 2018/2001

We welcome the Commissions intention to evaluate state aid not only from the perspective of competition but also considering its impacts on climate and environment. However, we believe that the current draft of the state aid guidelines is in need for improvement, in order to boost the essential green energy transition. It is crucial, that the CEEAG is streamlined with the RED III process, which at its core needs a massive boom in the expansion of wind, photovoltaic and biomass. Thus, we would like to present our recommendations from the perspective of a large Renewable Energy Group from northern Germany. Please find attached our statement.
