Response to A new Circular Economy Action Plan

Studies indicate that the product lifetime strongly influences purchase decisions. Consumers tend to prefer electrical devices above average product lifetimes and, thus, be willing to pay more for longer lasting appliances. From Electronic Reuse (ereuse.org) we ask that the consumer can know the average and maximum lifespan of digital devices based on historical data. It does not allow us to know the reasons for a low durability but allow us to elaborate a durability ranking so that consumers can reward with their consumption choice, manufacturers who make products that reach high thresholds of durability.
