Statement to EU emissions trading system (ETS) update of the free allocation rules BRAUNGART EPEA is a research and development institute based on the Cradle to Cradle design concept. The aim of BRAUNGART EPEA is to help shape the economy in such a way that it produces healthy products that benefit the health of people and the environment. Our institute has dealt intensively with the topic of copper and its significance fundamental social and economic importance, including in a comparative study. We have worked with the metal industry, especially the copper industry, to improve environmental standards. For this reason, we share our arguments with you (see appendix), which are certainly also shared by many other scientists. And we would like to discuss our scientific findings on this topic with you and would be delighted if we and these findings were included and taken into account in further discussions.
