Response to Legislative framework for the governance of common European data spaces

29 Jan 2021

Bridgestone welcomes the opportunity to provide its feedback on the proposal for a Regulation on European Data Governance. Bridgestone is a global leader in smart and sustainable mobility solutions and looks with great interest to the potential that the digitalization offers in the mobility domain. Through its subsidiary Webfleet Solutions, known as TomTom Telematics until October 1st 2019, we are one of the world’s leading telematics solution providers, dedicated to fleet management, vehicle telematics and connected car services. For this reason, we look with interest to the EU ambition and efforts to stimulate a true, open and trustworthy data market for the benefit of economy and society at large. Nonetheless, we think there are margins to bring more clarity to certain elements of the proposal. In the attached paper we present our feedback and suggestions that we hope will enrich the future discussion during the regulatory process.
