Response to Wildlife trade – alignment of EU rules with recent decisions taken under the CITES convention and changes to EU ivory trade rules

Dear Madam, Sir, The French Musical instruments organisation (CSFI) was recently informed about an new interpretation rule that completely changes the new regulation project on ivory trade that has been discussed these past months. This new and unexpected interpretation makes it necessary for us to submit a complementary contribution regarding the dates indicated in the draft revised guidance document and the use of pre-Convention ivory for instrument making and restoring.
