Response to Taxonomy Delegated Acts – amendments to make reporting simpler and more cost-effective for companies

Please see attachment. In summary, we believe that the majority of the Level 2 changes proposed in the consultation make sense, with a small number of exceptions. We believe, however, that the bigger picture of descoping many reporting entities from Taxonomy reporting may offset any benefit from simplifying the templates by making it harder for consumers of Taxonomy data - asset managers, banks, and other financial institutions - to access reliable data to base their decisions on. Taken in tandem with the cuts to the CSRD reporting scope and the number of data points available, there may be a risk that not enough reliable and relevant data is available to ensure the EU maintains the ambition of its Green Deal.
