Response to Protection of Minors Guidelines

We are a non-profit organisation established in Belgium to take forward the work of the euCONSENT pilot project. We have developed in consultation with a wide range of stakeholders including child rights NGOs, platforms, age assurance providers and technical trade associations, the attached specification for a new age assurance ecosystem, which delivers the demands of data protection regulators for a double-blind cryptographic protection of user privacy, while maintaining a sustainable commercial model for an open and competitive market in age assurance services. We believe this would be a strong basis of evolution of the existing approach to age assurance to meet the latest requirements.
