Response to Integrated farm statistics for the period 2030-2039

9 Sept 2025

The EEF European Equestrian Federation is a federation of federations, a representative democracy, and is the umbrella organisation for its members, 40 national Equestrian Sport Federations, and 9 associate members. EEF is also the official European Regional Group entity within the FEI - Federation Equestre Internationale. EEF works to maximize the potential and development of equestrianism throughout the continent. Through its position papier, the EEF calls for the reintegration of equines into agricultural data collection by Member States, to fully recognise their agricultural role and the environmental services they provide. Equines represent an asset for the transition towards a more sustainable Common Agricultural Policy. A harmonised census of their population across all Member States would undoubtedly strengthen their positive contribution to the future of European agriculture.
