The European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) is a multi-professional organisation whose aim is to promote the health of children with special attention to the gastrointestinal tract, liver and nutritional status, through knowledge creation, the dissemination of science based information, the promotion of best practice in the delivery of care and the provision of high quality education for paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition professionals in Europe and beyond.

Response to Evaluation and revision of the general pharmaceutical legislation

The European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) is a multi-professional organisation whose mission is to reduce the burden of digestive and nutritional diseases and to promote digestive and nutritional health in paediatric age groups. The Societal goals are to be achieved through knowledge creation and provision of high-quality education, research stimulation, the dissemination of science-based information, and the promotion of the best clinical care. The role of ESPGHAN is also to serve as a source of advice for governments, international agencies, and various other stakeholders. ESPGHAN represents all professionals working in paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition in Europe and worldwide, and currently has over 1540 members, of which 165 are serving outside Europe. ESPGHAN welcomes the opportunity to comment on the Proposal for revising the EU pharmaceutical legislation the document with ESPGHANs comments and suggested amendments is provided here as an attached file.
