The French Equestrian Federation (FFE) is the French sport federation for equestrian sports. In France, 6 000 equestrian centres come under the agricultural sector and represent more than 35 000 jobs. Through its contribution, the FFE wishes to draw the Commissions attention to the significant long-term risk of losing knowledge and monitoring of equines within the European Union if they are not reintroduced into European agricultural statistics.

Membre de la Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI), la Fédération Française dEquitation dispose de 9 500 groupements adhérents ; majoritairement des poney-clubs et centres équestres disposant dune cavalerie. Près de 625 000 licenciés pratiquent au sein des installations des clubs. La France compte plus dun million déquidés (source: Annuaire ECUS 2024, Institut Français de Cheval et de lEquitation). Eu égard aux enjeux de soins de équidés et de sécurité alimentaire, nous demandons que les substances suivantes soient maintenues dans les substances essentielles : - Griseofulvin - Rifampicin - Tc 99 - Sevoflurane - Buprenorphine - Midazolam - Budesonide - Ketoconazole - Dorzolamide - Iopamidol Par ailleurs, nous demandons que la phénylbutazone soit intégrée dans la liste des substances essentielles.
