Response to Greenhouse gas emissions savings methodology for low-carbon fuels

The Well-to-wheel methodology is needed to calculate the CO2 emission in order to promote all technologies suitable to give a concrete contribution to decarbonise the transport and mobility system, and using the "RED III" Directive parameters and the "Counting Emission" Regulation methodology. It's needed to overtake the limited and unfruitful approach calculating the CO2 emission of vehicles from the tailpipe, only, BEV including. Specific attention is needed to give to Biofuels and Bio-LNG, primarly for long haul trucks and buses, capable to assure a net-zero-emission (W-t-W methodology) in the strategic sector of logistics and touristic travels. Also other Biofuels have to be focused, that can give a good contribution to the target of decarbonisation in the picture of a correct Well-to-Wheel approach. E-Fuels also can play a significant role, especially in passenger cars sector. CONCLUSION: the strategic goal is to EQUATE the "low-carbon" fuels to electric and H2 technologies from the timing and functional point of view, according to a coherent vision of the regulamentary packages for the ecologic and technologic transition of transport.
