Response to European Water Resilience Strategy

The Geneva Water Hub welcomes the European Commissions initiative to develop a European Water Resilience Strategy. In response to the European Commission's call for evidence, we present insights drawn from the Geneva Water Hub's extensive experience in hydrodiplomacy: when water is shared equitably, and spared from the ravages of pollution and armed conflict, peace can prevail. The Geneva Water Hubs work focuses on preventing water-related conflicts, fostering transboundary cooperation, and strengthening water governance at multiple levels. This feedback suggests key priorities to be included in the Water Resilience Strategy based on our expertise. Our concrete recommendations can be found in the document attached to this feedback.
