The Spanish Citrus Interprofessional, INTERCITRUS, is the Interprofessional Agrifood Organization of the orange and mandarin sector in Spain. The Interprofessional is established with the mission of representing and defending the interests of the Spanish citrus sector. The whole sector is represented in it through associations representing production and marketing. The Interprofessional represents 72% of the Oranges and Mandarins sector in the Professional Branch of Production and 80% of the mandarins group sector and 76% of the oranges group in the Professional Branch of Commerce. Intercitrus represents a stable framework for the joint work of all the entities that comprise it, promoting and executing, directly or indirectly, as many specific actions and activities as are deemed necessary for a better development of the sector, constituting a meeting place in which to freely express their opinions, as well as a forum for debate for the adoption of decisions on the internal regulation of the sector in key aspects of its operation.
