Response to Sustainable food system – setting up an EU framework

Mosa Meat is grateful for the opportunity to provide feedback on the Sustainable Food System Initiative impact assessment. As pioneers of a new way to make meat using cellular agriculture, we welcome the European Commission’s ambition to transform the food system into a sustainable and resilient one through policy option 4, a new comprehensive framework legislation. As the world’s population and meat consumption are increasing rapidly, it is clear that current production patterns are not sustainable and a holistic approach is appropriate.
