Response to Advanced Materials Act

The Nanotechnology Industries Association (NIA), the global industry association for the nanotechnology sector, welcomes the opportunity to provide feedback on the Advanced Materials Act. This initiative must allow advanced materials to be supported as a critical and vital sector within Europe. Materials are a key foundation in many other economic sectors and Europe needs to retain and build upon its global competitiveness in advanced materials. Europe must be ambitious in its Advanced Materials Act in the following ways: 1) Give Europe the ability to create and use advanced materials at scale 2) Institute a simpler regulatory system and give industry the tools to navigate it 3) ) Increase Europe's global competitiveness and reinforce its leadership in the research, innovation, adoption, application, and circularity of advanced materials On behalf of its members and for the nanomaterials sector which the NIA represents, we submit the attached document outlining our suggestions and input to the call for evidence.
