Response to Revision of EU rules on Anti-Money Laundering (recast)

Note of the French- and German-speaking bar association and Flemish bar association of Belgium (umbrella organisations of the Belgian bars) on the Commission's package of legislative proposals to strengthen the EU's rules on anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism. The opinion expressed in this note covers both the proposal for a directive on the mechanisms to be put in place by the Member States for the prevention of the use of the financial system for the purposes of money laundering or terrorist financing and the AMLA-proposal regulation.
