Rederscentrale CV

Missie De Rederscentrale vervult de rol van enerzijds erkende producentenorganisatie en anderzijds erkende beroepsvereniging die de belangen behartigt van de reders ter zeevisserij. Daarbij functioneert de Rederscentrale vaak als schakel tussen sector en verschillende overheden. Als PO wordt gefocust op de productie- en marketingplanning voor de visserijactiviteiten van de leden. Als beroepsvereniging vervult de Rederscentrale de rol van enige werkgeversvertegenwoordiger binnen het zeevisserijgebonden sociaal overleg. De leden zijn alle rederijen die een vissersvaartuig onder Belgische vlag uitbaten van zowel het groot als klein vlootsegment en onafhankelijk van welke thuishaven ze afkomstig zijn. Informatievoorziening, lobbyen, projectcoördinatie en administratieve ondersteuning zijn gekaderd binnen ons werkdomein. Er wordt mee gedacht en mee onderhandeld over Europees, Belgisch federaal en Vlaams regionaal beleid voor zaken die een impact hebben op de visserij.

Response to Implementing Act on the provision applying as from January 2026 of the amended Fisheries Control Regulation

In the attached document you will find our views and concerns on the proposed measures, in particular regarding their practicality, proportionality, and impact on daily operations. We kindly ask for your attention to the need for rules that are workable in practice, harmonised across Member States, and phased in realistically.

Response to Delegated Act on the provision applying as from January 2026 of the amended Fisheries Control Regulation

Please find attached the position paper of Rederscentrale CV concerning the draft delegated regulation supplementing Council Regulation (EC) No 1224/2009, as amended by Regulation (EU) 2023/2842. While we support the objective of improving the EUs fisheries control framework, we have serious concerns regarding the content, feasibility, administrative burdens, and the consultation process. Our advice outlines specific points of attention and recommendations to ensure the regulation is workable, proportionate, and implemented fairly. We hope this input will contribute to a balanced revision of the proposal and we remain at your disposal to further explain our comments in detail.

Response to The European Oceans Pact

Our input highlights the need to prioritize fisheries within blue economy policies, enhance policy coherence, foster innovation, integrate local knowledge, and address the sectors socio-economic challenges. Our comments are based on our experience and sector knowledge, emphasizing the importance of a balanced approach to sustainability and economic viability, science-based decision-making, and the involvement of the sector in policy-making. We recognize the CFPs role in promoting sustainable fisheries management within the EU, but it is essential that the policy evolves to address the current and emerging challenges faced by our sector. Response to Communication on the functioning of the Common Fisheries Policy

Het valt niet te betwisten dat het Gemeenschappelijk Visserijbeleid de afgelopen jaren sterk heeft bijgedragen tot de verdere ontwikkeling van een duurzaam EU-visserijbeheer, gestoeld op de drie pijlers van duurzaamheid (ecologisch, economisch en sociaal). Desalniettemin is de Rederscentrale van oordeel dat sommige specifieke streefdoelen niet praktisch uitvoerbaar zijn en niet aangepast zijn aan de voortschrijdende verduurzaming van de sector en aan de veranderingen in het omgevingskader. In het document in bijlage vindt u een overzicht van de voornaamste aandachtspunten die de Rederscentrale wenst aan te kaarten.
