Response to Greenhouse gas emissions savings methodology for low-carbon fuels

Established in 2011, ReNew focuses on producing clean energy from wind, solar, and hydroelectric sources, with around 20GW of renewable capacity, over 10GW in operations. The company is committed to accelerating the energy transition and is increasingly involved in the production of green hydrogen, ammonia, and methanol to support decarbonisation in industry . As a financially robust entity backed by a strong investment portfolio, including CPPIB and a listing on NASDAQ, ReNew actively collaborates on international projects. We thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback on the draft Delegated Regulation regarding the methodology for determining GHG emission savings of low-carbon fuels. While the regulation is an important step towards establishing clarity, we believe there are key areas that could benefit from further refinement to ensure a more robust framework for the decarbonisation of Europes energy systems. Please find attached several recommendations for consideration.
