Resato Hydrogen Technology, Theo Post In reaction to statement letter CEN and CENELEC that updating to standards does not result in any significant change and costs fall within the regular operation and maintenance of such infra structure: The costs arising from the need to modify existing hydrogen refuelling points for heavy duty vehicles to meet the new technical specifications are high. The new protocols offer great scope for safe refuelling even with relatively low mass flow at existing stations, but end-users expect fast refuelling. Updates to reduce refuelling time at existing stations can be major. Components of such an upgrade may include high-pressure storage, compressor capacity, mass flow control and metering devices and dispenser design.
