Response to Methodology to determine the share of renewables in case of co-processing

We attach Sasol’s submission in response to the call for comments on the proposed Delegated Act to Article 28(5) of Directive (EU) 2018/2001 (DA 28). It is critical that the proposed DA 28(5) provides a supportive regulatory environment for a just transition in Non-Union countries by recognising the phased manner required to transition fossil fuel facilities, specifically leveraging a flexible attributional Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) approach whereby all of the greenhouse gas (GHG) benefits of incremental addition of biomass and green hydrogen can be apportioned to selected products such as Sustainable Aviation Fuel. This will enable this nascent industry to ramp up production in the context of lower-priced fossil-fuel based products. Please see our attached submission for further detail. Thank you
