Smurfit Kappa Piteå urges the European Commission and the Member States to postpone the final decision, concerning DTPA and chelating agents in general, on the proposed Cat. 1B classification for developmental toxicity. Smurfit Kappa Piteå supports the comments made by the Lead registrants that DTPA does not deserve the proposed Cat. 1B classification for developmental toxicity and urges the European Commission and the Member States to postpone the final decision on this until RAC has had a chance to review the new information provided by the dossier submitters and until there is additional clarity on the key concepts of the CLP involved in the classification of DTPA and chelating agents in general.
