Response to Review of the Construction Products Regulation

Treindustrien welcomes the possibility to provide feedback on the proposal for a new Construction Products Regulation. Treindustrien (The Norwegian Wood industry Federation) is an industry organisation for manufacturers of building materials made of wood, such as structural timber, panel and cladding, glulam, prefabricated elements etc. Treindustrien welcomes the European Commission's initiative for an updated regulation with ambitious goals for sustainability, circular economy and digitization. It is also positive that the EC aim to solve insufficiencies regarding publication of harmonized standards. However, there are many aspects that seem unclear in the new regulation, and clarification is needed. The regulation must be understandable and user-friendly. Please find attached the feedback to the proposed CPR from Treindustrien.
