Effective justice systems are essential for: implementing EU law; upholding the rule of law and the values upon which the EU is founded; and economic growth. The EU Justice Scoreboard presents an overview of indicators of effective justice systems: efficiency, quality and independence. It helps improve the effectiveness of the justice systems in the EU. It informs the annual Rule of Law Report, the country specific analysis in the European Semester and the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
