The Commission collects data from Member States and economic operators to provide information on agricultural markets to farmers and other actors of the food supply chain. The notification obligations are adjusted three years after new notification obligations were introduced, in particular on prices along the food supply chain. The amendment contributes to the Commission’s objective to reduce reporting burden for economic operators and Member States.
