In line with the Pact on Migration and Asylum, this proposal will aim at introducing a digital visa (replacing the paper visa sticker) and making it possible to submit visa applications online. The aim is to make the visa procedure largely paperless and contactless, and thereby more time-saving and cost-efficient for travellers and consulates, while at the same time ensuring the highest level of security.
