The act establishes the electronic licensing system for the import, export and transit of civilian weapons. The electronic licensing system will facilitate the administrative procedures to request, grant or refuse an import and export authorisation. Furthermore, the electronic licensing system will facilitate the exchange of information between competent authorities and with customs authorities. The system is therefore instrumental for the implementation of the Regulation (EU) 2024/XX
