The Partnership for Safe and Automated Road Transport provides a clear long-term framework to the strategic planning of research and pre-deployment programmes on driverless mobility on roads at EU and national levels. This is in line with the Communication "On the road to automated mobility: an EU strategy for mobility of the future" of 17 May 2018. It allows streamlining all relevant R&I activities, linking them with deployment and creating opportunities to cover integrated mobility solutions.
